Hanger 9 Tigermoth Updated
I wanted to change my standard red and silver Hange 9 Tigermoth into a warbird so I could attend more fly-ins. I found the Shuttlesworth Collection's DH82 Tigermoth had the eye catching colors and war bird markings I desired. The plane was manufactured in 1944 and was part of the Royal Air Force's aerobatic demonstration team. The red and white checkerboard pattern lets the airshow audience see the maneuvers better.
I used Krylon rattle can spray paint (plastic compatible) and many yards of masking tape. In the air, the plane's orientation is easy to see. Of course the plane still flies great, like a Tigermoth does.

Hey, this is my airplane! It's a Hangar 9 150-sized Ferocious Frankie that I re-covered into Chuck Yeager's scheme. For this season I've finally painted the spinner, painted a new cowl, and applied the "Glamorous Glen III" decal to the nose. It looks MUCH more finished now.
It has an Evolution 33GX, Robart electric retracts, JR servos and an original DX8 transmitter.
