  1. Height of the fuel tank relative to the high speed needle? Ideally the stopper in the tank is inline with the high speed needle. With the inverted mounting of the engine, the carb may be too low and siphoning extra fuel which floods the engine. Also, try lengthening the pressure line from the muffler. Should reduce the overall pressure and pulsing from the exhaust.
